Hands-on delivery

I do hands-on delivery: MVPs, features, platform modernisation, AI integration. 25 years of production code means you get senior engineering capacity that's productive in the first week, without a recruitment cycle or an onboarding project.

When you work with Tech Studio, you work with me. I scope the work, I write the code, and I'm the person on the call when something needs deciding.

What this looks like

MVP builds. Zero to one. Architecture, build, and deployment for a product that has to exist soon, built so the next engineers can extend it rather than rewrite it.

Feature delivery. A specific thing your roadmap needs that your team doesn't have bandwidth or stack depth for. I slot in, ship it, and hand it over documented.

Platform modernisation. Legacy PHP, ageing Node, the system everyone's afraid to touch. I've spent years keeping regulated production platforms healthy while evolving the stack underneath them, including working across Zend and Laravel codebases in the same organisation. The lights stay on while we migrate.

AI features. Production LLM work, agents and RAG systems that run real workflows. I've built multi-agent systems live in production on AWS Bedrock, with schema-validated outputs and per-user cost tracking. More on that in the AI advisory and build page.

The stack

I write production code every week in Node.js, TypeScript, React, and PHP, deployed on AWS with Docker and CI/CD via GitHub Actions. I've shipped Next.js 15 in production, run SQS-backed background processing, and integrated Stripe, Salesforce, Twilio, and both Google and Microsoft calendar APIs.

How an engagement starts

Thirty minutes on what you're trying to ship and where it's stuck. If it's a fit, I write up a scoped proposal: shape, timeline, price, with enough detail that you can say yes or no confidently. Engagements run from two-week feature builds to multi-month modernisation work, full-time or flexible days.
