Challenge
A small engineering team needed to scale delivery, meet enterprise compliance, and support a 2× growth in active users without breaking the product.
Approach
Grew the team to 20+ engineers, introduced Agile practices and daily CI/CD, led ISO 27001 certification, transitioned to cloud-native architecture, and delivered AI-driven internal tooling.
Outcome
Acquisition by a multinational • 99.95% uptime • ~25% productivity lift from AI tooling • enterprise contracts unlocked.

About
For 25 years I've been building software and the teams that deliver it. I started as a network engineer, moved into web development, then engineering leadership — and I've stayed close to the code the whole way.
Most recently, I led engineering of an insuretech SaaS that grew from bootstrap to acquisition by a multinational — scaling the team to 20+ engineers, shipping ISO 27001 certification, and running an M&A integration. Along the way I built RAG-based tools and AI agents that ran real business workflows, lifting team productivity by around 25%.
